The National Weather Service has issue a flood warning for Stutsman County and much of the state.<\/p>\n
The warning, which will be in effect until 9:45 a.m. Tuesday for urban areas and small streams in much of North Dakota, said that heavy runoff from snowmelt and ice jams on small streams and rivers are causing widespread flooding in western and southern North Dakota. As precipitation develops over the next day, man areas could see rapid rises in local streams and rivers. Rates of more than an inch per hour are expected from stronger thunderstorms.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
