{"id":39338,"date":"2013-10-29T00:02:48","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T05:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=39338"},"modified":"2013-10-30T12:21:40","modified_gmt":"2013-10-30T17:21:40","slug":"disclosure-in-the-dark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=39338","title":{"rendered":"Disclosure In The Dark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I write a lot about Second Amendment issues (among many other things) in Minnesota and nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;m going to be writing a lot more about the subject in the coming year.\u00a0 It&#8217;s going to be one of those years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And since I&#8217;ll be writing a lot on the subject, I may as well get this out of the way.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 In the interest of full disclosure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I am a member of the Minnesota Gun Owners&#8217; Civil Rights Alliance (GOCRA).\u00a0 (I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gocra.org\">urge you to become one too, by the way<\/a>).\u00a0 It&#8217;s a free membership &#8211; but I&#8217;ve donated money to the organization in the recent past.\u00a0 Mainly to get the cool maroon T-Shirt.<\/li>\n<li>I have volunteered at GOCRA events; I&#8217;ve manned the GOCRA table at a few gun shows in the past decade, and attended hearings at the Capitol &#8211; as a spectator and moral supporter, not to give testimony on GOCRA&#8217;s behalf.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That is my entire involvement with GOCRA.\u00a0 I am not a member of their executive committee, I have no position within the organization.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And let&#8217;s be perfectly clear; I get no money from GOCRA.\u00a0\u00a0 Not a penny.\u00a0 I cover gun issues because it&#8217;s the right thing to do.\u00a0 That&#8217;s it.<\/p>\n<p>Please print this for your files.\u00a0 Thanks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I write a lot about Second Amendment issues (among many other things) in Minnesota and nationwide.
