{"id":39130,"date":"2013-10-21T05:00:04","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T10:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=39130"},"modified":"2013-10-19T10:06:55","modified_gmt":"2013-10-19T15:06:55","slug":"squib","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=39130","title":{"rendered":"Squib"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Minnesota DHS claims 10% of Minnesotans\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dashboard.dhs.state.mn.us\/measure01-6-1.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">lack health insurance<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Liberals claimed 140,000 Minnesotans would gain access to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.minnpost.com\/minnesota-blog-cabin\/2012\/10\/easy-choice-lawmakers-affordable-health-insurance-140000-minnesotans\" target=\"_blank\">affordable health insurance<\/a>\u00a0under Obamacare.<\/p>\n<p>Star Tribune reported on October 15 that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twincities.com\/politics\/ci_24323025\/mnsure-signs-up-3-700-so-far-health\" target=\"_blank\">400\u00a0Minnesotans\u00a0have signed up<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the Star-Tribune headline claims 3,700 signed up but that includes another 3,300 people who signed up for Medicare or MinnCare, welfare programs to provide health insurance for poor people. \u00a0But these new people were eligible for welfare without Obamacare so yes, they now have health insurance, but no, it had nothing to do with Obamacare.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the government is hiring thousands of new IRS agents.\u00a0 Maybe Obamacare should be considered a shovel-ready jobs program?\u00a0 At least this program is producing some jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Doakes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0I wouldn&#8217;t be at all surprised to find that the regional version of &#8220;Journo-list&#8221; has reached a tacit agreement to report all non-disasters as triumphs for Obamacare and its local companion. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Doakes from Como Park emails: Minnesota DHS claims 10% of Minnesotans\u00a0lack health insurance.
