Because clearly, people do abide by laws,&#8221; [Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association boss Dennis] Flaherty said. &#8220;And this notion that if we pass this, criminals won&#8217;t by abide by it, well that could be said about everything from speeding to virtually every crime you create here in this room.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Then where is the need for this law? Let&#8217;s outlaw gun crimes and let anyone have a gun and just be lawful.<\/p>\n<p>And we can outlaw poverty and ignorance too. And bad breath.<\/p>\n<p>Until you admit the reality that some people DO NOT follow the law, and identify who those people are, you can\u2019t craft a solution to prevent those people from committing gun crimes. Democrats are still in denial.
