I spoke too soon yesterday in writing about the DFL Metrocrats’ hearings regarding guns. \u00a0They – Hausman, Paymar, Sheldon Johnson and Simonson, to be exact –\u00a0introduced a bill<\/a>\u00a0today aimed at “High Capacity Magazines”.<\/p>\n

Their definition of “high-capacity”: \u00a0seven rounds.<\/p>\n

Sec. 3. PERSONS POSSESSING LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINES ON\u00a0<\/span>EFFECTIVE DATE OF ACT; REQUIRED ACTIONS.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.29Any person who, on August 1, 2013, is in possession of a large-capacity magazine\u00a0has 120 days to do either of the following without being subject to prosecution under<\/span><\/p>\n

Minnesota Statutes, section 624.7133:<\/p>\n

2.32(1) remove the large-capacity magazine from the state; or<\/p>\n

(2) surrender the large-capacity magazine to a law enforcement agency for\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0destruction.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
