{"id":31114,"date":"2012-10-17T06:58:36","date_gmt":"2012-10-17T11:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=31114"},"modified":"2012-10-17T07:14:59","modified_gmt":"2012-10-17T12:14:59","slug":"you-could-see-it-coming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=31114","title":{"rendered":"You Could See It Coming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m the first to admit that confirmation bias hits everyone. \u00a0Myself included.<\/p>\n<p>But for the life of me, I&#8217;m not sure how anyone, ever, could say Barack Obama even came close in the debate last night&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;except among a base that needed a spiff to keep them from driving into bridge abutments aroiund the country, and maybe to give the low-information voters that are the Democrats&#8217; only real growth market a fresh charge on their chanting points. \u00a0By those standards &#8211; &#8220;victory&#8221; means your supporters get a morale boost, and idiots get a fresh dose of &#8220;Planned Parenthood&#8221; &#8211; then yes, the president&#8217;s performance was adequate.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, like Ringo Starr, he only did it with a little help from his friends:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P19O6R1zqBY\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Romney had the President on the ropes, stammering and babbling over his Adminstration&#8217;s performance in re Benghazi &#8211; and Crowley in effect came off the bench to tackle Mitt.<\/p>\n<p>As predicted.<\/p>\n<p>The best thing about the debate after sleeping on it? \u00a0The Libya issue is going to be front and center in the headlines for the next five days, until the foreign policy debate. \u00a0And this time The One won&#8217;t have Candy Crowley to save him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m the first to admit that confirmation bias hits everyone. \u00a0Myself included.
