{"id":30409,"date":"2012-09-13T12:00:48","date_gmt":"2012-09-13T17:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=30409"},"modified":"2012-09-13T09:59:15","modified_gmt":"2012-09-13T14:59:15","slug":"the-declaration-of-independence-according-to-mark-dayton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=30409","title":{"rendered":"The Declaration Of Independence, According To Mark Dayton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It goes a little something like this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/4575208799_e7c6e34c94.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"192\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to coerce the livelihoods from another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the superior and unequal station to which the Theories of Keynes and Bloomsbury entitle them, a decent respect to the needs of government requires that they should declare other peoples&#8217; property to be public property first, and their own last.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equally vital belongings of Government, that they are endowed by their Government with certain unalienable Duties, that among these are to support the government that makes us all so very equal.&#8211;That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted upon Men, deriving their just powers from,\u00a0paradoxically, their power.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Governor Dayton has an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/minnesota.publicradio.org\/collections\/special\/columns\/polinaut\/archive\/2012\/09\/dayton_warns_ta.shtml?refid=0\">odd idea of what unites us as a people, and of what this nation is supposed to be all about<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It starts as the same old story&#8230;:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dayton told a group at the University of Minnesota today that his administration is coming up with a plan to overhaul the entire tax code to make the tax system fairer to lower and middle income people.
