{"id":28281,"date":"2012-06-01T12:15:14","date_gmt":"2012-06-01T17:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=28281"},"modified":"2012-06-01T11:08:06","modified_gmt":"2012-06-01T16:08:06","slug":"this-is-your-obama-recovery-may-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=28281","title":{"rendered":"This Is Your Obama Recovery: May Edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The economy created fewer than 100,000 jobs this past month &#8211; and the numbers for March and April have been revised down, to boot &#8211; but in fact May&#8217;s labor force participation rate &#8220;jumped&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/data.bls.gov\/timeseries\/LNS11300000\">from 63.6% to 63.8%<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the unemployment rate &#8211; the percentage of those 63.8% of the workforce that&#8217;s <em>trying <\/em>to work &#8211; crept back up to 8.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Put it all together, and on 58.57% of the workforce is actually working.
