But for one <a href=\"http:\/\/www.danseverson.com\/My_Family.php\">campaign website<\/a>, that of Sauk Rapids Republican Rep. Dan Severson, there&#8217;s a surprise addition &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/liberalinthelandofconservative.blogspot.com\/2008\/06\/dan-severson-family-fun-page-contains.html\">a guy blowing himself up<\/a>.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Uh, yeah &#8211; that video made the rounds a while ago.  Perhaps Birkey remembers it?<\/p>\n<p>While the notion of carnage is distasteful to most people, it was hugely popular because &#8211; I might need to type this slowly for the <em>Minnesoros Independent&#8217;s <\/em>staff &#8211; most people don&#8217;t like the suicide bombers who&#8217;ve been killing our troops, and thousands of innocent civilians, all over the world.  We kind of <em>like <\/em>the idea, however abstract and crude, of at least one of them dying for bupkes, even if only in a josh video.  <em>We don&#8217;t like them<\/em>.  So while (unlike them) we do not celebrate death &#8211; even theirs &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t exactly bring a lump to the throat to see that those who murder innocent women and children meet a grisly, risible end.<br \/>\nIndeed, seeing terrorists get killed off for real is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NYxpkhpsTT0&#038;feature=related\">something <\/a>of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hgHuY-xTs0c&#038;feature=related\">hot <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hgHuY-xTs0c&#038;feature=related\">item <\/a>on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zHCAyHCYUjI&#038;NR=1\">Youtube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;As you can see, my family enjoys spending time together and having fun,&#8221; reads Severson&#8217;s site. &#8220;I appreciate a good smile. Click on the link below to view a movie that will hopefully put a smile on your face.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Wow.  Guess that totally belies all that fun family stuff on the website, huh?  I guess it means Severson is a HYPOCRITE HYPOCRITE HYPOCRITE, huh?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Minnesota Independent has contacted Severson, and we&#8217;ll publish his reply when we receive one.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep. Severson;  before replying, please consult my friends Learned Foot, Yossarian and Swiftee on the finer points of telling people to pound sand with style.<\/p>\n<p>Or, y&#8217;know, don&#8217;t.
