Here’s a bit of good news: \u00a0the American people distrust the mainstream media…<\/p>\n

The majority of Americans still do not have confidence in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly. The 44% of Americans who have a great deal or fair amount of trust and the 55% who have little or no trust remain among the most negative views Gallup has measured<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

…and largely believe it to be biased to the left:<\/p>\n

Here’s the part I think is dispositive – check out the numbers broken out by self-reported political category”:<\/p>\n

For all of the extreme left’s caterwauling about the “conservatism” of the mainstream media, Democrats are three times as likely to say the news is “just about right” as Republicans – and almost twice as likely as “Independents”.<\/p>\n

So while the mainstream media may not be “liberal” (although they are twice as likely to be OK with the status quo as conservatives), the Democrat mainstream certainly seems to be comfortable with the way things are.<\/p>\n
