Tim Pawlenty proposed a sales tax cut of 1\/8 percent on Friday as part of his supplemental budget proposal.<\/p>\n<p><em>The move is something of a surprise<\/em>, as the state faces a $935 million shortfall in the state&#8217;s biennial budget.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The move <em>is <\/em>a surprise &#8211; if you&#8217;ve been under a rock since 1980 (or at least if George Soros is paying to pretend you&#8217;ve been under one).<br \/>\nFor the rest of us?
