Oh, we&#8217;ve seen bits and pieces; the odd article about fundamentalist liberals (notwithstanding that Evangelicals vote 3-1 Republican)), or the occasional liberal in the active-duty military (4-1 GOP in 2004).<\/p>\n<p>But soon, the flotsam and jetsam of &#8220;Republicans for Taxes, Abortion, Gun Control and Dishonorable Peace&#8221; will soon start getting the same treatment that Minnesota&#8217;s remaining Carlson Republicans get from Lori Sturdevant; bemused fawning.<\/p>\n<p>Example: This piece in the LATimes, by Mark Barabak, entitled &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/nationworld\/nation\/la-na-gopobama25feb25,0,2747153,full.story\">They&#8217;re Republican Red, and True Blue to Obama<\/a>&#8220;, which (it should surprise nobody) reads like an Obama puff piece.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_1\" style=\"background: 0% 50%; border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\">GOP<\/span> renegades seeking a candidate capable of ending the <span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_2\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">Washington<\/span><br \/>\npartisanship are surfacing in the senator&#8217;s campaign in surprising numbers.<br \/>\n&#8220;Obamicans,&#8221; he calls them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Unicorns&#8221;, I calls them.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_3\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">Delaware, Ohio<\/span> &#8211; Chatter bounces off the bare walls and checkered<br \/>\nlinoleum floor as Josh Pedaline and other <span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_4\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">Barack Obama<\/span> supporters burn<br \/>\nthrough their call sheets.<\/p>\n<p>A map of <span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_5\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">Delaware County<\/span> splays across a tabletop. Another table is<br \/>\nladen with cookies, pretzels and other snacks. Volunteers sit elbow to<br \/>\nelbow, pecking at cellphones and pitching the <span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_6\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">Illinois<\/span> Democrat in<br \/>\nadvance of Ohio&#8217;s March 4 primary. The scene is a typical campaign boiler<br \/>\nroom.<\/p>\n<p>Except that four of the 13 dialing away are lifelong Republicans,<br \/>\nincluding Pedaline, 28, who reveres <span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_7\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">Ronald Reagan<\/span> and twice voted for<br \/>\n<span class=\"yshortcuts\" id=\"lw_1203980778_8\" style=\"border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed\">President Bush<\/span>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And on, and on, and on, bla bla di bla.<\/p>\n<p>Expect all fifty of the &#8220;Obama Republicans&#8221; to have their own programs on CNN by September.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE:\u00a0 Whenever I read stories about &#8220;Republicans for Taxes, Abortion, Gun Control and Dishonorable Peace&#8221;, my first reflex is to Google the names.\u00a0 Life got in the way yesterday, unfortunately &#8211; I didn&#8217;t get to do a complete search&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;but one of my commenters notes that Josh Pedaline, &#8220;lifelong Republican&#8221; at age 28, has at least one hit on the BS Search:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This Pedaline guy is a lifelong republican at age 28? Wiat, <a href=\"http:\/\/my.barackobama.com\/page\/dashboard\/public\/Ccdg\">here\u2019s his Obamasturbation page<\/a>.\u00a0 He wrote the page two years ago &#038; at that time he was calling bush \u2018evil\u2019.
