An emailer wrote me yesterday, wondering (at that point) if the driver in the tragic bus crash in Cottonwood, MN, who’d given a Hispanic name at her arrest – was an illegal alien.<\/p>\n

\nI’m always loathe to assume that; most Latin-Americans are perfectly legal.\u00a0 And I don’t want to succumb to bashing illegal immigrants for every <\/em>ill that faces this country, since the precedents for that sort of thing in the past 100 years are pretty bad.<\/p>\n

But of course, it’d seem the emailer was right<\/a>. \u00a0 Lassie at True North relates the Fox9 stor<\/a>y:<\/p>\n

Fox Nine News<\/a> confirmed late this afternoon what many have suspected, but some local media still aren’t noting:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Authorities have confirmed that the driver of the van that struck the school bus that killed 4 students on Tuesday is an illegal alien.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Officials at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement are checking to see where she came from and how long she’s been in Minnesota. FOX 9 has also learned that the name she gave to police, Alainiss Morales, is an alias.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As Michelle Malkin noted<\/a>, open borders and sanctuary cities have bloody consequences. Contact your legislators.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course, perfectly-legal Americans also commit stupid crimes with cars; thousands of Americans die every year, most of them killed by other legal Americans (or themselves) via any variety of stupid traffic tricks.<\/p>\n

But it was <\/em>an illegal alien who had the accident in Cottonwood.\u00a0 And there are four families who might not be dealing with their childrens’ deaths if one <\/em>of those illegals had been kept out of the US today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
