We LIVE UNITED by collaborating with partner agencies, corporations, community leaders and people like you.<\/p>\n<p>United Way serves people living in or near poverty in nine counties: Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott and western Washington. Making a gift to United Way is the most effective way to help the whole community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Many of us give &#8211; generously, in many cases &#8211; to the United Way through their various institutional drives at Twin Cities businesses.<\/p>\n<p>So where does that money go?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.minnpost.com\/community_voices\/\">To the <em>MinnPost<\/em><\/a>? \u00a0\u00a0 The center-left-leaning media website?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Community Voices section is made possible by the generous sponsorship support of the Greater Twin Cities United Way.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Attacking poverty&#8221; via sponsoring the <em>MinnPost<\/em> is certainly a new definition of an &#8221;\u00a0interconnected front&#8221;. \u00a0Although the logic of the connection escapes me.<\/p>\n<p>Do United Way contributors know they&#8217;re supporting agenda-based media?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth asking.<\/p>\n<p>I sent a message to the United Way. \u00a0I&#8217;ll let you know what I hear back.
