Mind you, I&#8217;m not so addicted to politics that I thought up this idea myself. I read about a <a href=\"http:\/\/slog.thestranger.com\/2008\/01\/an_iowa_caucus_night_party_in_seattle\"><font color=\"#0044cc\">caucus watching party<\/font><\/a> at SLOG, the blog of Seattle&#8217;s alt weekly, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestranger.com\/seattle\/Home\"><font color=\"#0044cc\">The Stranger.<\/font><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Could I find a caucus watching party in the Twin Cities?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I wondered about that myself.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve never heard of such a thing.<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;m not alone&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I took a look at the City Pages blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.citypages.com\/blotter\/\"><font color=\"#0044cc\">The Blotter,<\/font><\/a> but there was no mention of any caucus watching party. Heck, there wasn&#8217;t a single mention of the Iowa caucus. <em>Meanwhile, on SLOG, the Stranger was offering regular updates from the reporter they dispatched to Iowa and the former intern who was now attending college there.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So I Googled the following: Minneapolis Iowa caucus watching party.<\/p>\n<p>I found one &#8212; from four years ago.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0And I&#8217;m gonna bet it was a bunch of those &#8220;Drinking Liberally&#8221; people.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Okay, so maybe this stuff doesn&#8217;t get to Google. I tried Seattle Iowa caucus watching party. Four decent hits, including the SLOG post.<\/p>\n<p>Damn.
