{"id":19085,"date":"2011-03-29T11:01:39","date_gmt":"2011-03-29T17:01:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=19085"},"modified":"2011-03-29T11:21:51","modified_gmt":"2011-03-29T17:21:51","slug":"arise-go-forth-and-conquer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=19085","title":{"rendered":"Arise, Go Forth And Conquer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today is the DFL&#8217;s primary in Senate District 66.<\/p>\n<p>The DFL declined to hold an endorsing convention this time, choosing to go straight to a primary. \u00a0Part of it may have been it was a good way to stir up some publicity for what, for the DFL, is a snoozer of a race.<\/p>\n<p>(Of course, the GOP is running a serious candidate and, less normally, a serious campaign. \u00a0But more on that tomorrow).<\/p>\n<p>The candidates are a guy named Marchese who I really don&#8217;t know (nor will I need to), former HD66B representative Mary Jo McGuire &#8211; who left office something like 16 years ago but has dialed in the &#8220;women&#8217;s vote&#8221;) and current 66A representative John Lesch.<\/p>\n<p>Who to vote for, if you&#8217;re a DFLer? \u00a0Or perhaps someone who decides to <em>become <\/em>a DFLer?<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps what you want is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/revisor\/pages\/search_status\/status_results.php?body=House&amp;search=basic&amp;session=0872011&amp;location=House&amp;bill=&amp;bill_type=bill&amp;rev_number=&amp;keyword_type=all&amp;keyword=&amp;keyword_field_text=1&amp;author1[]=41220&amp;submit_author1=GO&amp;titleword=\">genuine legislative leader<\/a>?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today is the DFL&#8217;s primary in Senate District 66.
