{"id":17483,"date":"2011-01-18T12:00:08","date_gmt":"2011-01-18T18:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=17483"},"modified":"2011-01-18T11:31:19","modified_gmt":"2011-01-18T17:31:19","slug":"new-day-rising","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=17483","title":{"rendered":"New Day Rising"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wisconsin looks to be in the mood to join the 21st century and recognize the law-abiding citizen&#8217;s human right to self-defense:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;You&#8217;re going to see a concealed carry bill pass the Legislature, I have no doubt,&#8221; Chris Danou, a Democratic legislator from Trempealeau, Wisconsin, told the LaCrosse Tribune newspaper. &#8220;The question is what kind of bill it&#8217;s going to be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Guns are a big part of Wisconsin culture as hunting is popular in the state, which has vast areas of forest and agricultural land. But it has traditionally restricted gun ownership and carrying weapons.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As in most states with any hope at all, the thwarting of the human right of self-defense was entirely a function of liberal zealotry defying the will of the people:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Twice in recent years the Wisconsin legislature passed a law allowing concealed carry but Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle vetoed it.
