I’ve fisked Nick Coleman a zillion times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

No, really.\u00a0 I have.<\/p>\n

And I’ve done it virtually every way possible; the traditional style; opening it up to groups of readers; as a contest; as an exercise in ironic reinforcement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’m almost at a loss for new ideas.<\/p>\n

Almost.\u00a0 But not quite.<\/p>\n

Today, a new technique – the “Sudden Death” fisk.\u00a0 Here’s the rules:\u00a0<\/p>\n

  1. I’ll present the column without comment, until…<\/li>\n
  2. …I see a piece of Coleman’s projection or transference\u00a0that totally beggars the conventional definition of “irony”.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  3. At that point, the fisking stops cold<\/em>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
