{"id":14511,"date":"2010-10-20T07:26:14","date_gmt":"2010-10-20T12:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=14511"},"modified":"2010-10-20T07:28:12","modified_gmt":"2010-10-20T12:28:12","slug":"the-definition-of-who-likely-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=14511","title":{"rendered":"The Definition Of Who &#8220;Likely&#8221; Is"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I saw last Friday that Randy Demmer was five points behind Walz in the First District (the southern tier of counties), I thought it was good news. \u00a0Walz&#8217;s last challenger lost by 30-odd points in the middle of the Obamascension.<\/p>\n<p>And seeing that the poll\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.surveyusa.com\/client\/PollReport.aspx?g=4f1ec465-dab5-48d4-b6ec-3c2a132946f4\">surveyed 36% Dems and 32% Republicans<\/a> in what is generally considered to be a slightly GOP-leaning district <em>in normal times<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and add in the fact that these are <em>not <\/em>normal times, with Walz&#8217;s buddies in the Obama Administration gutting Medicare, favoring Cap &#8216;n Tax policies that&#8217;ll shred agribusiness, and turning the district&#8217;s major industry, the Mayo, into a Minute Clinic in a strip mall along Highway 52&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and I have to suspect that the poll is a tad pessmistic for Demmer.<\/p>\n<p>Again, just a hunch.<\/p>\n<p>Let the &#8220;you are teh stooped Fauxmusen suportar&#8221; comments begin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I saw last Friday that Randy Demmer was five points behind Walz in the First District (the southern tier of counties), I thought it was good news. \u00a0Walz&#8217;s last challenger lost by 30-odd points in the middle of the Obamascension.
