{"id":14416,"date":"2010-10-18T05:13:49","date_gmt":"2010-10-18T10:13:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=14416"},"modified":"2013-01-09T10:36:57","modified_gmt":"2013-01-09T16:36:57","slug":"bergs-law-remains-immutable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=14416","title":{"rendered":"Berg&#8217;s Law Remains Immutable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I direct you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?page_id=5033\">Berg&#8217;s Seventh Law<\/a>: &#8220;<em>When a Liberal issues a group defamation or assault on conservatives\u2019 ethics, character or respect for liberty, they are at best projecting, and at worst drawing attention away from their own misdeeds<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And so when lefties all over the internet started chanting about a &#8220;scandal&#8221; involving Republicans getting money from overseas, I thought &#8220;there has <em>got <\/em>to be a story about Democrats getting at least <em>twice as much <\/em>coming up shortly&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Are these hunches ever wrong? \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/blog-briefing-room\/news\/124565-democrats-have-raised-1-million-from-foreign-affiliated-pacs\">Don&#8217;t be silly<\/a>. That&#8217;s why they&#8217;re called &#8220;Berg&#8217;s Law&#8221;, and not &#8220;Berg&#8217;s Half-baked Theory&#8221;. \u00a0Emphasis added;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Democratic leaders in the House and Senate criticizing GOP groups for allegedly funneling foreign money into campaign ads have seen their party raise <strong>more than $1 million from political action committees affiliated with foreign companies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>House and Senate Democrats have received approximately $1.02 million this cycle from such PACs, according to an analysis compiled for The Hill by the Center for Responsive Politics.
