What&#8217;s your favorite guilty pleasure website?<\/strong> I&#8217;m not sure that I have many &#8220;guilty&#8221; pleasures.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. What job do you fantasize about having? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dennis Miller&#8217;s talk show.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Last movie you saw? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ahem; <em>South Park<\/em>, 1999.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Last book you read? <\/strong><em>House to House, <\/em>David Bellavia &#8211; the account of an Army squad leader in the Second Battle of Fallujah.\u00a0 I liked it so\u00a0much, <a href=\"http:\/\/townhall.com\/talkradio\/show.aspx?radioshowid=7\">I interviewed him<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Best show legendary biz\/movie star encounter.<\/strong>\u00a0 There are a couple.\u00a0 Timothy Leary playfully hip-checked me back in 1986, in the &#8220;green room&#8221; on the Vogel show.<\/p>\n<p>And\u00a0back in 1999, after Springsteen&#8217;s show at the Target Center, I waited out on Seventh Street by the loading dock until about 3AM for his customary\u00a0trip out to meet the hardcore fans and get my ancient copy of <em>Darkness on the\u00a0Edge of Town<\/em> autographed.\u00a0 I got to the front of the pack,\u00a0and handed Bruce the slipcover as Patty Scialfa and Chuck Plotkin looked on in the background.\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m such a huge fan, I named both of my kids after you&#8221;, I said.\u00a0\u00a0Bruce looked up, seeming mildly alarmed.\u00a0 &#8220;You did?&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No, no&#8221;, I replied.\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m a fan, not a\u00a0stalker&#8221;.\u00a0 The three of &#8217;em got a\u00a0good laugh.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Proudest media moment? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Good question.\u00a0 I mean, I&#8217;ve worked in or around the\u00a0 media on and (mostly) off since I was 16.\u00a0 I&#8217;d say the big ones were:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Interviewing Rochelle Olson on NARN<\/li>\n<li>Smacking down Marjolyn Bijlefeld of the National Coalition to Ban Handguns on my old KSTP show in &#8217;86<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/archives\/007760.html\">This incident<\/a> from the Vogel show<\/li>\n<li>May 27, 1980, at KEYJ in Jamestown &#8211; my junior year of high school.\u00a0 I was in noon-hour orchestra practice, getting ready for graduation the next day.\u00a0 The fire alarm went off.\u00a0 Ozone and smoke laced the air as everyone evacuated.\u00a0 I slipped away from the rest of the group, found the fire chief, got the story (there was an electrical fire, and a woman was trapped in one of the elevators), and called it over to Darrell Williams, the station&#8217;s news director.\u00a0 Got major kudos &#8211; heady stuff for a punk kid.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>8. Ever had a brush with the law? Describe. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the winter of 1990-1991, my at-the-time wife and I were flat broke.\u00a0 We also had no space in our garage, so for one reason or another we ran up like 14 snow emergency parking tickets.\u00a0 We couldn&#8217;t afford to pay &#8217;em &#8211; we were donating plasma to buy diapers, for crying out loud.\u00a0 Unfortunately, I didn&#8217;t go to <em>court <\/em>or anything.<\/p>\n<p>A year later &#8211; the day after I started my first decent-paying job as a tech writer &#8211; a couple of deputies were waiting for me at home with 14 arrest warrants.\u00a0 I spent a couple of hours in the lockup, until my at-the-time father-in-law came down to bail me out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That was about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. If you got a unicorn what would you name it? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;President Hillary&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. What does your TiVo think about you? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t own a Tivo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Character of fiction you most resemble? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not really sure there <em>is <\/em>one.\u00a0 I&#8217;d like to think Dolokhov from <em>War and Peace<\/em>, though.<\/p>\n<p><strong>12. Who plays you in your bio-pic? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll shoot for the stars and say John McGinley.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. What&#8217;s your ringtone?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The one that my cell phone came out of the box with.<\/p>\n<p>My kids&#8217; phones have the &#8220;Techno&#8221; tone.\u00a0 I think an ex-girlfriend has some Euro thing, but I haven&#8217;t heard it ring in a long time, and may have trashed it.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and I can&#8217;t find my cell phone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>14. Favorite electronic device? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today?\u00a0 The IPod I bought &#8211; used &#8211; two days ago.\u00a0 I&#8217;m finally able to listen to the Dennis Miller show!<\/p>\n<p><strong>15. What do your friends say is your best quality? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ooof.\u00a0 Hopefully how I listen, but I have no idea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>16. What do your enemies say is your worst? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My enemies?\u00a0 As distinct from my friends?\u00a0 That I crush them mercilessly yet easily.<\/p>\n<p>My friends might say it&#8217;s that sometimes I&#8217;m pretty cluelessly insensitive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17.What natural talent do you wish you had? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Domestic talent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>18.
