{"id":12803,"date":"2010-08-20T12:01:48","date_gmt":"2010-08-20T17:01:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=12803"},"modified":"2010-08-20T11:13:00","modified_gmt":"2010-08-20T16:13:00","slug":"reconstructing-history","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=12803","title":{"rendered":"Reconstructing History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gary Gross at <em>Let Freedom Ring <\/em>notes that the Strib is participating in the effort to whitewash Mark Dayton&#8217;s record; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/opinion\/commentary\/101120474.html?elr=KArksc8P:Pc:U0ckkD:aEyKUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr\">an op-ed \u00a0by one Alison Rosholt<\/a> tries to slip the reader dog poo and call it brownies in trying to sanitize Dayton&#8217;s most infamous crackup, the closing of his Senate office in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Gary exhumes some commentary from the time of the crackup (go to Gary&#8217;s piece and read it all), and \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.letfreedomringblog.com\/?p=8478\">responds<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Ms. Rosholt\u2019s account simply isn\u2019t credible. Certainly, DHS would\u2019ve contacted DC\u2019s mayor had they discovered a credible, specific terrorist plot targeting Capitol Hill. The fact that Mayor Williams, a fellow Democrat, ridiculed Sen. Dayton by saying he wasn\u2019t sure \u201cwhat frequency the senator\u2019s on\u201d speaks volumes to Sen.
