{"id":12185,"date":"2010-07-21T06:36:45","date_gmt":"2010-07-21T11:36:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=12185"},"modified":"2010-07-22T22:48:04","modified_gmt":"2010-07-23T03:48:04","slug":"sputter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=12185","title":{"rendered":"Sputter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mark Dayton (via his &#8220;surrogates&#8221;) spent a million dollars on advertising and trumping up a phony controversy over the past month &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxtwincities.com\/dpp\/news\/fox-rasmussen-poll:-dfl-candidates-lead-minnesota-governor%E2%80%99s-race\">and got bupkes for it<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>According to the latest FOX News-Rasmussen Poll , Mark Dayton would beat Republican Tom Emmer 40 to 36 percent, with the Independence Party candidate Tom Horner [dropping to] 10 percent.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now, there&#8217;s a lesson in this for all of us; be careful of what you wish for. \u00a0For years, I wished that U of M Professor Larry Jacobs weren&#8217;t the most overquoted person in the Twin Cities media. \u00a0And in response, we get Hamline University &#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Political analyst David Schultz said it looked like Emmer was clearly ahead back in May. He believes two things have changed.
