Need month-old debunked out-of-context defmatory news?<\/p>\n

Does anything about this “story”<\/a> sound familiar to you?<\/p>\n

Tom Emmer recently came under fire for his ties to the organization You Can Run But You Can’t Hide International, and its leader Bradlee Dean who has equated homosexuals with pedophiles and encouraged his followers to stand up and “enforce God’s laws” on their own.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why yes – if you read Shot In The Dark<\/em> for the truth about current events, you have.<\/p>\n

When asked to address his relationship with Dean and his organization, Emmer simply said “these are good people.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, if you are smart you know everything that the DFL say about Tom Emmer is a filthy, rotting lie, and if it’s in the Minnesoros “Independent”<\/em> or any other leftyblog you need to distrust but verify.<\/p>\n

Yes, I said “filthy rotting lie”.\u00a0 From the categorical debunking of Andy Birkey’s out-of-context hit piece earlier this month<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The \u201cties\u201d, according to Birkey, are:<\/em><\/p>\n

An almost-two-year-old \u201cdonation\u201d of $250<\/a><\/strong>, in the form of buying seats at a You Can Run benefit dinner in <\/em>November of 2008.\u00a0 This, by the way, was long before YCR was on the regional media radar \u2013 although Birkey continues to refer to this \u201cdonation\u201d with context and time frame carefully buried.<\/em><\/p>\n

An appearance on \u201cSons Of Liberty\u201d<\/strong>.\u00a0 By that token, RT Rybak, a former NARN guest, must be a conservative sympathizer.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tom Emmer calling Bradlee Dean and his associates \u201cnice people<\/a>\u201c<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s perhaps an inconvenient truth to Andy Birkey that Bradlee Dean and Jake MacMillan <\/em>are nice people.\u00a0 They may have different beliefs than Andy Birkey and, also, me.\u00a0 And perhaps it\u2019s easier to believe people who disagree with you are foul people with horns growing out their heads.\u00a0 But Dean and MacMillan and their wives and associates are a genial bunch.<\/em><\/p>\n

And that\u2019s it.\u00a0 That, according to Birkey, is the extent of Tom Emmer\u2019s \u201clink\u201d to YCR.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is no involvement<\/em>.\u00a0 To say otherwise is a lie.<\/p>\n

But this is the DFL we’re talking about:<\/p>\n

“Is Tom Emmer kidding? Good people indeed,” said DFL spokesperson Donald McFarland. “Tom Emmer stood up for a man who called members of the GLBT community predators, who has encouraged violence against homosexuals and would like to impose his narrow-minded beliefs on the whole of America.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
