{"id":11423,"date":"2010-06-16T12:00:15","date_gmt":"2010-06-16T17:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=11423"},"modified":"2010-06-16T11:07:03","modified_gmt":"2010-06-16T16:07:03","slug":"chase-the-blue-rascals-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=11423","title":{"rendered":"Chase The (Blue) Rascals Out!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;This will not be so much an anti-tax-and-spend election as an anti-<em>incumbent<\/em> election!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s one of the things that Dems tell themselves to comfort themselves as they face what looks to be a fairly ugly year for them.<\/p>\n<p>And they&#8217;re right.\u00a0 The latest Fox News\/Rasmussen\/Sean Hannity\/Michael Savage poll shows that it <em>is <\/em>going to be an anti-incumbent year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/preview.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=127834800&amp;live=1\">Anti <em>Democratic<\/em> incumbents<\/a>, anyway; the Fox News\/Rasmussen\/Sean Hannity\/Michael Savage poll shows 37% of respondants in Republican-controlled districts want to flush their incumbents.\u00a0 It&#8217;s 49% in Dem-controlled districts.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, I know.\u00a0 It&#8217;s just a poll taken <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">six<\/span> five months before the election.\u00a0 And it&#8217;s only the Fox News\/Rasmussen\/Sean Hannity\/Michael Savage poll.\u00a0 Still, I don&#8217;t think anyone would have expected this two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>CORRECTION:\u00a0 I mistakenly referred to the &#8220;NPR Poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies\/Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research&#8221; as the &#8220;Fox News\/Rasmussen\/Sean Hannity\/Michael Savage poll&#8221;.\u00a0 I regret the misunderstanding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;This will not be so much an anti-tax-and-spend election as an anti-incumbent election!&#8221; It&#8217;s one of the things that Dems tell themselves to comfort themselves as they face what looks to be a fairly ugly year for them.
