is mentioned even obliquely), I had to ask &#8211; is he, indeed, the most cited man in the history of the Strib?<\/p>\n<p>Bear in mind, at the Strib &#8220;history&#8221; means the 30 or so days that they leave articles online.\u00a0 But a search of the articles available online at the Strib site (and leaving out other &#8220;experts&#8221; like, say, Algore (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22Al+Gore%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com\">684<\/a> hits), who is quoted as an expert but is also a newsmaker in his own right)\u00a0showed the following results:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Larry Jacobs: <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22Larry+Jacobs%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com\">58 hits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Compare that to a selection of other notables:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Albert Einstein<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22albert+einstein%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com\">27 hits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steven Hawking<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22stephen+hawking%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com\">Seven<\/a>, mostly from Strib blogs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Karl Von Clausewitz<\/strong>:\u00a0 Prussian military philosopher and, literally, writer of the book on the relationship between politics and war:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22von+Clausewitz%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com\">Two<\/a> hits, both of them comments from the Big Question blog.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benjamin Franklin<\/strong>:\u00a0 Innovator in technology, politics and statesmanship:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22Benjamin+Franklin%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com&#038;btnG=Search\">41<\/a> hits, although perhaps half refer either to other people of that name or the cast of a play at the Guthrie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Edison<\/strong>:\u00a0 One of history&#8217;s greatest polymaths:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22Thomas+Edison%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com\">Three<\/a> hits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Archimedes<\/strong>:\u00a0Perhaps history&#8217;s greatest innovator:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22archimedes%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com&#038;btnG=Search\">Two <\/a>hits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo Da Vinci<\/strong>: One of history&#8217;s great minds:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=%22Leonardo+Da+Vinci%22+site%3Awww.startribune.com&#038;btnG=Search\">Six<\/a> hits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Macchiavelli<\/strong>:\u00a0 Noted expert on politics &#8211; perhaps even greater than Larry Jacobs himself:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;q=macchiavelli+site%3Awww.startribune.com&#038;btnG=Search\">No<\/a> hits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it:\u00a0 Larry Jacobs &#8211;
