There Are Too Many Potential Titles For This Post To Choose One, And I’m Trying To Be A Better Person Than That Anyway

Governor Walz is “turning power over” to Lt Governor Flanagan for a few hours while he has a colonoscopy.

I don’t not expect DFL goons to roam the streets looking for wreckers while she’s in power. Fingers crossed, everyone. Smoke ’em if you got ’em.

However, if all goes well, hopefully we’ll get word as to whether the endoscopist found the code for the model that predicted 20-70,000 dead Minnesotans by July 2020.

SITD Bonus: Rejected names for the post:

  • They Found Esme Murphy
  • Endoscopy Discovers Every Metro Newsroom
  • “Nurse, What’s With All The Lip Marks?”
  • Governor’s Riot Strategy Found
  • MN Media Metaphor Alert

But again – I’m trying to be a better person than that.

  1. I hear there’s a statute of a white man on the capital grounds

somebody get a rope, that’s got to go

  2. “colonoscopy”, is that what they nowadays call pulling someone head out of their ass? Alas, the result will be negative.

  3. Usually a colonoscopy is done with sedation, not general anasthesia, and it lasts about 20-30 minutes. (I’ve had four) If you’re going to be out for a couple of hours, that would indicate that they’re, ahem, doing a fair amount of work in there.

Either that, or reporters don’t know the difference and/or somebody didn’t read their instructions for the procedure.

Side note; colonoscopy prep isn’t any fun, but it beats the snot out of dying on a morphine drip with colon cancer. I watched my mom on that latter part. Get your Golytely when the doctor says, because a polyp in the specimen bag never hurt anyone.

  4. I remember a similar story from early in Dayton’s second term. Notably, it was while Tina Smith was the LG. I also remember the Media gushing about how “responsible” Gov. Dayton was by signing over his power. Of course, there was no mention of his time going MIA during his first term (of course that was when Smith was Chief of Staff), and it definitely didn’t happen after Smith’s appointment to the US Senate because the LG’s office was filled by a, gasp, Republican.

  5. rAT Emery could offer to inspect the governor’s colon with a magnifying glass. His small, pointed head should have no trouble travelling freely in that giant asshole.

  6. ^^Tell us all about how the FBI had an agent in charge of moderating twitter, Uncle Emery. I love that story.

  7. Maybe Mitch should have a special hashtag for absurd, unconstitutional laws proposed by obscure state legislators. It would be a bipartisan reach across the aisle.

  8. Re the Florida blogger Bill,
Obviously all Republicans should be be tarred and feathered because every republican everywhere supports the Bill.
    *Rechecks headline*
Prominent, nationally known Republican slams obscure, unknown state Republican legislator for introducing a dumb Bill.

Do the Republicans have dumb members? Yes.
Do those dumb members sometimes rise to national prominence? Unfortunately, also yes.
Do Republicans call out their own members for being stupid? Yes. Less than we used too, but still much more so than the democrats.

  9. Emery is strangely unconcerned about FBI agent Elvis Chan moderating Twitter.
    No integrity whatsoever.
The latest from the D’s is that Tucker Carlson is a Russian Agent. This led to Schumer threatening Fox’s broadcast license.
The federal government, by Emery’s standards, is comically fascist.

  10. ^ Always amusing when a bias is discovered as a Bad Thing when it’s being used against you and yours.

  11. Nothing to see here… move along sheople of the fascist banana republic…

The inner workings of the program — called the “Overt Human Intelligence Collection Program” — are described in the large tranche of internal documents POLITICO reviewed from the Office of Intelligence and Analysis. Those documents and additional interviews revealed widespread internal concerns about legally questionable tactics and political pressure. The documents also show that people working there fear punishment if they speak out about mismanagement and abuses.

  12. Emery blathering on about things he knows nothing about.
    Again.

Meanwhile, in the land of 10,000 looney judges:
A Ramsey County District Court judge has ruled that USA Powerlifting illegally discriminated against a transgender woman who was barred from participating in women’s powerlifting competitions.
In Judge Patrick Diamond’s decision released Monday night, he ordered USA Powerlifting to immediately stop discriminating according to sexual identity and to revise their policies within two weeks.

The danger from judges and legislators who believe that a man becomes a woman by putting on a dress is significant.

  13. Matt Tabi has made a nice living, pandering to leftist degenerates for the last 10 years. Now; under the short bus he goes.

Musk says he voted for Pedo Joe, and I have no reason to doubt him, but the degenerates are clearly pushing him to starboard.

None of means doodly squat, though.

I understand that McCarthy has given Tucker Carlson access to all the J6 recordings, and that Carlson is going to air the product of 2 weeks of editing tonight and tomorrow night. I also understand that we will see security cam footage that was recorded without sound, which the degenerate J6 committee dubbed screams into. If that’s true, and I have no problem believing it is, the entire circus is over.

We don’t have cable, so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning to watch the show. I’m in no rush to watch it, because nothing will come of it, either. The prosecutions will continue, none of the trespassers will be released from the gulag and White people will still be on the DOJ/FBI’s most wanted list.

  14. In the real world where things matter, the state of Georgia has arrested 23 antifa with domestic terrorism after a violent protest. Antifa is, in other words, exactly the kind of terrorist conspiracy that FBI has the tools to investigate, surveil, and eliminate.
But it appears that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is on its own.

  15. You can tell when Emery has gone off the rails when he starts to speculate on the motivations of people whom he has never met and about whom he knows very little.
That led, for example, to Emery calling Musk stupid for buying Twitter because it would never make money, while Musk was on the record stating that he did not buy twitter to make money. So Emery demonstrates the common liberal delusion that he knows the motivations of a person better than the person himself
This eccentric approach to reason is what drove Emery to predict that the Brexit vote would fail (it passed), that Hillary would defeat Trump in a landslide (she didn’t), and that Mueller would provide proof that Trump colluded with Putin to steal the 2016 election (Mueller came up empty).

  16. Ha! Well, Bot Boy, let me point out that Twitter is a private company and can do what they want. You know, like you Communists claimed when conservatives complained about being censored on the platform. Which, they proved. This is another case of leftist hypocrisy, Bot Boy. So, go pound sand up your backside, so you can keep your head out of it. Dip shit!

  17. Hotep Jesus: “You had to know this would, the woke media would cancel you, right?”

Scott Adams: “Sure, I knew what I was doing.”

HJ: “So, why did you do it?”

SA: “I planned to retire this year. This is my exit strategy.”

Maybe Adams didn’t expect to get slagged as hard as he did; who knows? But he’s a multi-millionaire, and he clearly DGAF. Since saying the truth he’s gained 200,000 twitter followers…

    Degenerate pee pants dance: FAIL

  18. Yah, Scott Adams is a weird one. He has been on the hit list of the Left since he predicted Trump would win in 2016. I have no idea what Adams’ politics are, but there has been speculation that Adams was purposely canceling himself. He certainly has no more commitment to producing a daily strip.

  19. I see Republicans are free speeching again

I see Democrats are back to proving Berg’s 17th Law” again.

The bill has one author. It will likely have one voter – the author.

It’s been roundly condemned by pretty much everyone – Gingrich is just the most famous.

It will never get to a committee. Much less passed. Much much less signed.

Can you at least present a challenge, Em?

  20. Also – you’re threadjacking. Again.

You’re the only Dem who shows up here regularly, so I’d hate to Dog-Gone you. But I”ve asked you many times, now.

Don’t make me do something I”ll regret barely remember doing.

  21. “Musk is so dumb that he didn’t think completely changing Twitter’s politics would piss off the employees.”

I’m pretty sure that Emery didn’t mean for that claim to be read with a rim shot in the background.

Musk publicly stated that he knew his plans would upset the adult children at Twitter. That’s why he bought the outfit and presented the employees with a chance to self select themselves out of their jobs.

  22. Emery is self-canceling.
After your low energy blog post — I’m just attempting to get your flock involved in more interesting topics.

  23. involved in more interesting topics.

Don’t like it? Start your own blog.

I’m tossing all your comments on this thread, and if I have to do this again, I’ll ban you completely.

  24. Emery is self-canceling

    He just might have been.

It’d suck – it’s good to have SOME dissonance.

But “I’m the real writer here” is a bad take. I tossed Dog Gone for it.

  25. Paging Doctor Jensen ….As a man in his late 50’s I have had the same procedure. The prep is rather specific (the brass nozzle comes to mind) than the procedure IMO and really not a big deal.

  26. I always think of Emery as SITD’s affirmative Action hire.

    Interesting:
One of the Antifa members arrested on domestic terrorism charges in Atlanta last night is a staff attorney with the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The FBI has historically used the SPLC as a source for who should be considered domestic terrorists.

    https://twitter.com/greg_price11/status/1632813829674377216?s=20

But lil’ ol’ Emery is worried about what some unknown Florida state legislator pushing a law that will never be passed. Emery is quite the silly fellow.

  27. Between woolly and swift — it’s just like seagulls fighting at the garbage dump.

  28. Thread jacking run amuck on SiTD — where’s the oh-so-concerned editor ….

  29. It’s easy to get to Emery. Just keep pointing out his idiocy and he runs away while shouting gibberish.
I guess Emery just enjoys losing to his betters.

  30. ^^ Comparison is the thief of joy.

My comments bestows no social status other than that imagined by those who measure their own self worth in rather shallow terms.

  31. I do hope the Georgia Bureau of Investigation holds the FBI’s feet to the fire on this. They should publicize how they are asking the FBI for help in combating an inter state and international criminal conspiracy and they could really use the FBI’s counter terrorism expertise in what is clearly a crime that falls in the FBI’s bailiwick.
For example, not only does antifa use the internet to organize violent protests nationwide, antifa recruits out of state members to participate in terrorism. After arrests, calls are made, again across state lines, to solicit funds to raise bond and fund raise in the name of defendants. Antifa is clearly a terrorist organization that state law enforcement has a limited ability to combat. This is not a decentralized system, decentralized systems lack command and control, and antifa is known for its command and control, specifically for mixing its agents in with non violent protesters until the word is given, when they attack their target in concert..

  32. Hey, uncle Emery, tell us again the story about the one in 4053 GOP state legislators who proposed a bill to regulate the speech of bloggers? That’s one of my favorite stories!
    Pissant.

  33. Emery,
Sorry I didn’t get to you sooner, I was busy trolling a psychologist in Indiana but since you present yourself as an expert on the ethics of abortion it should not be difficult for you to answer this question…
At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?

As a bonus question where can I find the text in the Constitution that supports this claim you made:
“The Constitution before amendment said Clarence Thomas should be counted as 3/5ths of a person.”

  34. The way to make emery run away screaming like a little girl is to point out his lack integrity. In this thread, I made Emery flee by pointing that while he was incredibly concerned about one in 4053 GOP state legislators proposing a law (which will never be passed, let alone found constitutional) which would regulate a blogger’s speech, Emery has absolutely no concern about an FBI agent (Elvis Chan) acting as a Twitter moderator.
It’s his own fault. Being stupid does not come without a cost.

  35. AIUMMP
To top off that terrorist attack in Georgia, a staff lawya for the racist hate group Southern Poverty Law Center was among the AntiFa goons. Thankfully, they arrested him and are charging him with terroristic acts. Only two or three of the losers were from Georgia. The rest came in from other states, including one from Wisconsin.

  36. We’ll see how top fed law man Merrick Garland leaps up to investigate and prosecute the obviously interstate and international nature of antifa terrorism in Georgia, bosshoss. I am not optimistic.

  37. Lot’s of people coming out of the woodwork, complaining that they were “transitioned” by profit seeking doctors. Now they regret their decision. Perhaps Emery will link to an article written by oldster Newt Gingrich explaining how these “detransitioners” are wrong and are a threat to democracy?
