Consequences

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

Democrats seized upon the Covid virus as a means to terrify voters so they would accept suspending the Constitution and mailed ballots (which are easier to harvest and cheat) allowing Democrats to ‘fortify’ the election to remove Bad Orange Man from office.

But terrifying the American public caused panic worldwide and in a global economy, that’s not risk-free. The First Order Effect of The Big Steal was The Garden Administration but what are the Second and Third Order Effects?

Richard Fernandez fears the international order is breaking down.

Sarah E. Hoyt points out the consequences of the hoax at home and abroad.

Even the UN admits the world hunger has gotten worse.

Democrats loosed War, Disease, Famine and Death in the world to gain political power at home.

Prepare yourselves.

  1. I think it would be difficult to find a person more full of s*** on any topic than Emery on “conservatives”, but the lack of self awareness in the 11:14 am comment is amazing.

  2. 👆Another member of Team Covid

As Keynes famously said, “When my information changes, I alter my opinion. What do you do, sir?”

  3. See? Always attack. No matter how contradictorily, no matter how hypocritical, no matter the veracity, always attack.

  4. In general, I agree that we should always strive to persuade and to be respectful even in disagreement. But I do find it extremely tiring that much of the crowd who spent years declaring “facts don’t care about your feelings” often reveal that their feelings don’t care about facts.

  5. Can we agree had the US continued to vaccinate in the summer at the same rate as in the spring, the US would be near herd immunity by now. It took a lot of work by powerful people and institutions to prevent that outcome. It didn’t just *happen.* It was *done.*

  6. There is in fact a major cable network that is promoting ant-vax conspiracy theories. There are in fact numerous politicians that are peddling anti-vax conspiracies.

“I don’t need the vaccine” they said while enjoying life without polio, tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, rubella, measles, whooping cough, the mumps, small pox, diphtheria, rabies, rotavirus, pneumococcal disease,
HPV, meningococcal disease, shingles and a bunch of 1800’s stuff.

  7. E-man! A Fox News attack? Does that still work? Kinda like that Q attack upstream; that coin only seems to have value to you commies.

I like that list of diseases. Did you rattle them off by heart or’d you have to look ’em up? And the little guilt stab at the end. You are really on top of your game today.

  8. C’mon, man, another “The Conspiracy! Don’t You See it? You Fools!” attack? You’re the Don Rickles of SitD! You’re better than this.

  9. Instead of asking whether it’s your right to spread misinformation, you should be asking what harm is it doing…

  10. Listen — I appreciate you trolling me but I’m leaving shortly to actually go fishing.

As mentioned before — Covid vaccine hesitancy/refusal was not some unprompted, spontaneous reaction among Trump supporters. It was manufactured: first as part of a larger program of denial to cover for Trump’s pandemic failures; then after Trump lost, in order to stoke feelings of victimhood and persecution.

Trump politicized Covid at his “hoax” rallies. From that point on, every position the Right has taken on Covid…from masks to vaccines…is in political opposition to their political enemies.

Eradicating Covid through vaccination is not only a political victory for Biden — but it highlights the mismanagement of the pandemic by Trump. Therefore, the Right is politically/tribally *required* to oppose the vaccines.

If Trump was in office, the Right would be vaccinated at levels that mirror or exceed Trump’s support/approval levels. And the same people who are demagoguing the vaccines, and all rational efforts to procure herd vaccination….would be falling over themselves promoting Trump as the greatest president in history for his stewardship of the vaccine development and roll out.

  11. Oh, golly, an oh-so serious, “fun’s fun but c’mon, man” comment that attacks just as hypocritically, stupidly and ignorantly, rabidly, and really, irrelevantly as all the other variations. It’s all about the attack.

  12. Shorter Emery: a lot of unsupported blabbering and TDS paint huffing.
    Could he be less persuasive?
    Probably not.

  13. Emery is wrong abut everything. He was wrong about Brexit passing, wrong about the effects of Brexit, wrong about Hillary winning by a landslide in 2016, and, of course, he fell for the “Russian Collusion” hoax (turns out that Hillary’s oppo research got played by Putin’s people, and that Hillary’s oppo research people then played a compliant FBI).
So, you know, when Emery claims to understand the psychology of the “anti-vaxxers” he read about on the web, the same people who taught him all about Brexit, and Hillary’s landslide, and “Russian collusion,” take him at his word.

  14. What we see here is, once again, the Left trying to turn an opinion into a fact. It may be Emery’s opinion that every single person who is reluctant to be vaccinated does so because they are black or some other minority, or a Trump supporter, but this is mere opinion. It’s source is his imagination, not reality. And Emery is fact-averse so he just repeats the opinion rants from whatever Left wing web sites he cruises.

  15. Democrats needed a reason to frighten voters into accepting mailed ballots (the least secure form and easiest to cheat). They chose Covid. But we knew as soon as the Diamond Princess docked that Covid was just a bad flu. 700 out of 3,700 aboard caught the bug, and of those, 14 died, all but one of whom were in their 70-80’s. That’s a mortality rate of 0.3 among old people. It’s a mortality rate of 0 among all other age groups – none of them died.

Democrats knew this but lied about the deadliness of Covid. Governor Walz’ televised press conference from last March hit all the high points. We’re all at risk because Covid strikes everyone from 6 months to 91 years [not equally, it’s mostly a threat to old people]. It’s highly transmissible, even outside in a strong wind [no, it’s not]. It’s far deadlier the ordinary flu [to old people but not the rest of us]. The Deadliest Virus Ever Known justified suspending Constitutional rights, destroying the economy, and ‘fortifying’ the election.

Now Biden and the E’s are trying to convince us to take the vaccine. We don’t want it. BUT YOU’RE ALL GONNA DIE OF COVID! [No, we’re not]. YOU’RE KILLING EVERYONE ELSE. [No, we’re not; they’re not going to die of Covid, either]. YOU’RE STUPID AND SELFISH. [Maybe, but that’s none of your bees wax].

Give it up. You fooled most of the people for a while, but even my Liberal friends are now quietly admitting the continued terror effort is all bullshit (particularly my Liberal friends who winter in Fort Myers and got used to living in ordinary America before coming back to Minnesota and getting ripped by Karen in the grocery store for ‘crowding her cart’ while maskless).

Democrats now want us to believe Black voters and Trump voters get their news from Fox TV and nowhere else, which is why Black voters and Trump voters don’t trust the government-sponsored vaccine. Democrats’ solution is to shut down Fox TV. That won’t solve the problem of people seeing through the lies and refusing to obey orders from on high. It will exacerbate the problem of distrust in government.

Peddle the lies somewhere else, Comrade. We’re not listening.

  16. So the people who believe a 50 cent mask will protect you from covid are more likely to be injected with an experimental vaccine?
    Say it ain’t so.
Oh, wait, it’s an NY Times article.
The NY Time, like Emery, was wrong about brexit, wrong about the effects of brexit, wrong about Hillary winning by a landslide, wrong about “Russian collusion.”
Emery, when people tell me things that turn out to be wrong, I stop listening to them. That doesn’t make me a “Trump Supporter,” it means I have a functioning brain.

  17. jdm: is gullibility a natural state for you or do you have to work at it?

Re: the 3 “fully vaccinated” Texas Democrats

Glad they were vaccinated. They should be protected from the worst of the disease. Unlike all those who refuse vaccination.

If they were GOP representatives, it would be the same result: mild cases, no hospitalizations and no deaths.

    Why?

Because GOP representatives have all been vaccinated, even while participating in misinformation campaigns to persuade their followers not to be vaccinated.

I’ve said this before and I‘ll say it again: Operation Warp Speed, approved by former President Trump, is a remarkable accomplishment. For his supporters to not get vaccinated is an insult to that accomplishment.

  18. For some reason, I have no interest in whether or not people I do not know have been vaccinated.
Emery’s obsession with the vaccination status of people he does not know is yet another sign of his unsound mind.

  19. “The most recent Kaiser poll helps illustrate that the vaccine hesitant group doesn’t really lean Republican. Just 20% of the group called themselves Republican with an additional 19% being independents who leaned Republican. The clear majority (61%) were not Republicans (41% said they were Democrats or Democratic leaning independents and 20% were either pure independents or undesignated).”

Not R’s not getting vaxxed you d’bag.

Oh, your source was the NY Slimes? Oh well, I stand corrected.

  20. The attacks continue. And now they’re personal (ad hominem). I don’t that word gullibility means what you think it does tho’. Using it makes you look reel smurt tho’.

Interesting that you aren’t addressing the Most Important Issue. That Democrats from TX got on a plane, unmasked, some of them carrying the deadly virus and flew to Washington DC to meet other politicians there which included a trip to the White House. It’s like 9/11 all over again. Or the Civil War. Think I’m exaggerating? The Bratwurst Bun went to Walter Reed this very morning for a “routine medical examination”.

    Who’s gullible now?

  21. Oh, and guess who is masking up and shutting down again?
    DEEP blue Los Angeles.

    Damn republicans.

  22. 👆MO: Have you figured out the difference between “First Amendment” and a “Terms of Service” contract? 🤡

  23. Geez, MO, you lucky duck. A “complete change of subject” attack. With a clown emoji. E-man must really like you.

  24. I already mentioned that, kinlaw, and asked for some help explaining it. I don’t think that info penetrated the Narrative that the E-man is paid to propagate.

  25. Hey! I got a pointless ad hom that has no relation to anything! But no clown emoji 🙁

  26. jdm: I guess the sheriff of LA County is not going to enforce it. But the truth is businesses will enforce it.

  27. Everyone should get the vaccine so they don’t get Covid.

Unless they do. Like the Texas Democrats. They were fully vaccinated and still got Covid. It’s what we used to call a “breakthrough” case before there were so many that the federal government stopped counting them, in May.

This example shows us the Covid vaccine is not like the vaccines for smallpox or measles which E was using as examples to convince us to get the Covid vaccine. Those vaccines work, this one does not. That analysis was false.

So if the Covid vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting Covid, what’s the point of getting the Covid vaccine? Answer: your symptoms might be less severe than if you didn’t get the vaccine.

And why is it any of the government’s business how severe my symptoms are?

Because they own you. You are not a free and independent Citizen with agency and liberty, capable of making your own decisions. You are a Subject to be taken care of by the bureaucrats in the government, because they are So Much Smarter Than You. And even when they are mistaken and their pronouncements end up needlessly killing old people in nursing homes (just as a for-instance), it doesn’t matter because They Meant Well so you still should STFU and do as you’re told.

Are we clear? ARE WE CLEAR?? Alright, then.

  28. You know, when I want to learn about a thing I look at the evidence, and I look at how the evidence originated. I want to know not just what I am being told about a thing, but why I am being told about it.
Other people have already made up their minds and they look for confirmation.
So Emery, when I pointed out that the NY Times was the poisoned well of knowledge that made him make incorrect assessments of reality so many times in the past (my 11:48), went to find the same belief-confirming information presented by the Times, but from a different source (his 12:05).
This is similar to a child’s belief that if you poor the koolaid from a short, wide container into a tall, thin container, you now have more koolaid.
In Emery we are not dealing with a fully-formed intellect.

  29. In the last 18 months or so I think that we have learned more about the operations of “public health” bureaucracies than we ever wanted to know.
One of the most important things at least some of us have realized is that public health has nothing to do with your health or the health of the people you care about. Measures taken to improve public health during the pandemic have included sending covid patients back into care homes rather than to hospital covid wards. Nearly all aspects of your existence, especially your economic existence, were placed in the hands of bureaucrats and politicians by procedures designed to be non-responsive to democratic influence.
How has that worked out? Y’all happy with that?

  30. So the point is, the people in the public health bureaucracies believe it will improve public health if you get vaccinated.
Maybe true. Maybe not. They are the experts in public health. They certainly know more about public health than I do.
But they aren’t experts in my health.
Getting the jab may be as bad for my personal health, just as it was bad for the personal health of the elderly to put other elderly people with covid into care homes.
There is not a one-one mapping of personal health to public health. People who tell you that there is are simply lying to you.

  31. kinlaw, your 3:07 pm that mentioned the sheriff of LA is interesting because I thought I recalled seeing that he doubts the “science” behind the masks, but also that his budget is smaller so he can’t enforce the laws. The latter reason is an interesting consequence of the defund-the-police policies: OK, then we won’t enforce your laws.

  32. Media reports indicate that for the second week in a row, there were more deaths from the vaccine than from Covid itself, according to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System which is co-managed by CDC and FDA.

Haven’t seen a follow-up study to verify or debunk the claim. Anybody know if there’s any SCIENCE on this point, aside from the usual ad hominem and appeal to authority attacks?

  33. Well, Joe, the same people who were counting deaths WITH covid (positive test or suspected) as deaths FROM covid are now saying that dying AFTER getting vaccinated does not mean that they died FROM the vaccination.
The next step will be to say that since NO ONE dies from the vaccination, the government will not pay for any medical costs associated with getting vaccinated and — poof! — just like that, AERS will drop to zero.
    Can’t argue with science.

  34. If Trump cared about his supporters, he would’ve used yesterday’s statement to encourage them to get the vaccine that his administration worked so hard to develop in record time.

Instead, he supported his fans’ vaccine refusal by attaching it to “trust” in the Biden administration. The statement is — and I am not exaggerating at all here — the opposite of what leadership looks like.

“Joe Biden kept talking about how good of a job he’s doing on the distribution of the Vaccine that was developed by Operation Warp Speed or, quite simply, the Trump Administration. He’s not doing well at all. He’s way behind schedule, and people are refusing to take the Vaccine because they don’t trust his Administration, they don’t trust the Election results, and they certainly don’t trust the Fake News, which is refusing to tell the Truth.” ~ Donald Trump 7/18/2021

  35. Has anyone seen the graph of the “surge” in cases in LA? It’s a joke, barely a blip, but here come lockdowns.

  36. ↑↑ Our A # 1 TDS guy sez blah blah about what Trump said the other day.
I don’t think that any of the actual conservatives who comment here even knew that Trump released some statement. I know that I didn’t.
