There is this thing where some of you guys think it’s a matter of opinion whether the election was fair. Assuming it was (..and it this IS the reality)…, then coup, treason, sedition, and insurrection are not actually misused as applied to the Coup de Tard. There was a more than meaningful element present there not merely demonstrating. They planned to use force divert the process from certification and confer a non-elected government.
That’s a coup, that’s insurrection. If you want to get picky on those middle words…. maybe.

John, re: your 7:42, your comment consists of a logical fallacy known as “begging the question.” That means your analysis is faulty and your conclusion invalid. You don’t prove the election was fair by assuming it was fair and then attacking people who believe it was unfair.
The people who believe the election was fair point to the fact that the officials accused of commiting misconduct have denied it, and that dozens of courts sidestepped the cases on made-up judicial excuses like ‘standing’ and ‘laches.’
To the best of my knowledge (and I’m sure you’ll post a link if I’m wrong), nobody has conducted the sort of eyeballs-on-ballots challenges we saw in the hanging chads recounts, and no court has held a trial to listen to witness testimony about irregularities in the election. Instead, every objection has been brushed aside, every witness has been ignored, every request for verification met with vilification. Democrats are acting exactly as they would act, it was all a giant cover-up.
It’s sort of like walking into the kitchen expecting to find cookies in the jar, but finding the jar empty with a kid sitting there full of crumbs. When the first words out of his mouth are: “You can’t prove I did it,” there’s no great confidence in his denial. On the contrary, the more he cries that it’s unfair to accuse him and blames his sister for it, the more one suspects the culprit has been caught red-handed.
And that brings us back to words. If the election actually was stolen, possibly with help from foreign governments, then the words ‘coup’ and ‘treason’ do apply, but in the opposite direction, towards the Biden administration.
I’m sure it’ll be on Tucker tonight — doing what he can to reinforce Trump’s big lie. Because we are a nation larded up with credulous nincompoops….
