I actually remember watching that debate. I remember hearing her blame Congress for failing to renew the assault weapons ban. I remember her promising to take executive action if Congress failed to act. But now that I go back to carefully listen to her specific promises, I see she pulled a bait-and-switch and I fell for it.
Instead of an assault weapons ban, she promises more background checks, action on licenses, and banning fugatives from justice from buying a gun. Nothing about taking assault weapons off the street.
