  1. hey Asshat instead of mocking me know that there are actually people that suffer daily with that stuff and I actually did suffer for years with both. So while I rarely drop this, kindly go fuck yourself Emery.

  2. “Spygate” is a pretty generic word. We know that the investigation of Trump for Russian collusion was driven by the discredited “Steele dossier,” foreign intelligence which was bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton, and funneled to the FBI by Bruce Ohr. Is this what you mean by “Spygate”?
I’ve heard rumors that the Dems wanted the Ukrainians to turn over to them intel on Manafort. Is this what you mean by Manafort? I don’t know if it is true, but it is not absurd on its face. The Dems are driven by hatred of Trump and voters. In the face of that, it’s hard to believe any Dem would say “I can’t do that! It’s borderline unethical!”

  3. I feel that these four sentences from Volume II of the Mueller report have not gotten anything like the attention they deserve.

/“As described in Volume I, the evidence uncovered in the investigation did not establish that the President or those close to him were involved in the charged Russian computer-hacking or active-measure conspiracies, or that the President otherwise had an unlawful relationship with any Russian official. But the evidence does indicate that a thorough FBI investigation would uncover facts about the campaign and the President personally that the President could have understood to be crimes or that would give rise to personal and political concerns.

If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on facts and the applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgement.”/ ~ Mueller Report Volume II, p76

  4. Emery apparently wants us to believe that the Attorney General is trying to hamstring the operation of the key investigations group in the DOJ, the FBI.
Chew on that one for a moment.

So a probe into 17 or so people who may or may not have abused FISA regulations in investigating the President is going to paralyze an agency with 35000 employees? I’m thinking “only if the FBI wants to hamstring the investigation into its own operation”, to put it mildly.

Really, so nice to see it suggested that the agency that let Lois Lerner skate, that ignored the deaths of hundreds of Mexicans in Fast & Furious, found no culpable wrongdoing when Mrs. Clinton kept hundreds of classified documents on an unsecured private server, and has found no reason to subpoena any documents in the Larry Nassar case, chose to pursue this one so fiercely. May I suggest somebody there has a serious issue with priorities, given they’re ignoring open and shut cases in favor of this kind of thing?

  5. Guilty until proven innocent, eh, Emery?
Read your quote from the M report. What, exactly, is Mueller accusing Trump of doing? Maybe you should do some coursework in rhetoric or textual analysis. You have this habit of reading docs that say one thing, and believing that they say another.
Or your problem might be that you are suggestible. You read an article by a lefty writer that says that the doc says this, when the doc says nothing of the sort, and you accept the lefty writer’s bad analysis, and think the doc actually says what he tells you it says.

  6. Does anyone else hope that Trump represents himself in the Senate trial?

“Shifty Schiff now seems to think they don’t need the Whistleblower, who started the whole Scam. The reason is that the Whistleblower has lost all credibility because the story is so far from the facts on the Transcript. Also, the second Whistleblower is no longer even mentioned!” ~ Donald Trump

It would be the highest rated TV in history. Do it.

  7. “I am not part of whatever drug deal Rudy and Mulvaney are cooking up,” ~ John Bolton

For my money, this Is the best line of the impeachment inquiry so far.

Will be interesting watching Trump try to discredit Deep State Democrat John Bolton.

  8. When did the house vote to begin an “impeachment inquiry” Emery?
This ain’t real life, it’s Gilbert & Sullivan.
[Enter the Major-General, notable for his huge mustache]: “I am the very model of a modern neoliberal!”

  9. Shoot, when did the crime occur that is the justification for an impeachment inquiry, and what was it? Seems to me that what we have here is not an impeachment inquiry, but rather a fishing expedition. It should be fun to watch as court after court agrees with the President that, per the 4th Amendment, the Constitution does not authorize fishing expeditions.

  10. You. Are. Nuts.

“What has happened here with the Anthony Wiener laptop, the Server, all of the Emails between Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton, the deleted Clinton Emails – what is going on?” @LouDobbs Joe D & Victoria T!” ~ Donald Trump (Twitter)
    5:58 PM – 16 Oct 2019

Trump is a cognitively impaired, emotionally unstable old man with little capacity to assess risk, grasp reality, and reason through complex tasks. These are symptoms of dementing illness, which runs in families and destroyed his father.

  11. Well, Emery, what IS going on with all those emails? No grand jury convened, server and such not collected as evidence, but Jim Comey was sure there was no harm done that would justify prosecution, despite the clear wording of the law. On the flip side, Mueller investigation starts with a BS dossier and goes on for years with no real evidence found.

You know, when all the “mistakes” made by investigation agencies seem to benefit one side of the political equation, you might do well to discard the notion of impartial investigators.

  12. Mueller didn’t recommend charges against Trump because DoJ policy is not to indict the President.

    Hardly a vindication.

Here’s some of what Mueller did find as relayed in his House Testimony.

Schiff: During the course of this Russian interference in the election, the Russians made outreach to the Trump campaign, did they not?
    Mueller: That occurred. [. . .]

Schiff: The campaign welcomed the Russian help, did they not?
Mueller: We report indications that that occurred, yes. [. . .]

Schiff: The president himself called on the Russians to hack [Hillary Clinton’s] emails?
Mueller: There was a statement by the president on those general lines.

Schiff: Numerous times during the campaign, the president praised the releases of the Russian-hacked emails through WikiLeaks?
    Mueller: That did occur. [. . .]

Schiff: Apart from the Russians wanting to help Trump win . . . Donald Trump was trying to make millions from a real estate deal in Moscow?
Mueller: You’re talking about the hotel in Moscow? Yes.

Schiff: When your investigation looked into these matters, numerous Trump associates lied to your team, the grand jury and to Congress?
Mueller: A number of people we interviewed in our investigation, it turns out, did lie. . . .

Schiff: When the president said the Russian interference was a “hoax,” that was false, wasn’t it?
    Mueller: True. [. . .]

Schiff: In short, your investigation found evidence that Russia wanted to help Trump win the election, right?
Mueller: I think, generally, that would be accurate. [. . .]

Schiff: Russia committed federal crimes in order to help Donald Trump?
Mueller: You’re talking about the computer crimes charged in our case? Absolutely.

Schiff: Trump campaign officials built their strategy, their messaging strategy, around those stolen documents?
    Mueller: Generally, that’s true.

Schiff: And then they lied to cover it up? Mueller: Generally, that’s true.

  13. Gordon Sondland has flipped on Trump.

Here’s Sondland’s opening statement this morning:
“I did not understand, until much later, that Mr. Giuliani’s agenda might have also included an effort to prompt the Ukrainians to investigate Vice President Biden or his son or to involve Ukrainians. ~ Gordon Sondland

You mean to tell me, the multi-millionaire, who started out ridiculing Trump and then cynically bought an ambassador job, won’t go down with the ship? Imagine

  14. Oh, so the Trump campaign was investigated for a long time for a lot less than what Teddy Kennedy did with Yuri Andropov, right? And for a lot less than what President Obama discussed with the Russian ambassador when he asked to interact after the election, when they’d have a lot more freedom to act.

    Oh.
