Berg’s 18th Law Is In Effect

The shooting in Vegas was an atrocity. But it hasn’t been 48 hours.

Until 48 hours have passed, you’re better off getting your news from the crazy lady at the bus stop than the MSM.

Given the targets, it’s every bit as likely this attack was spawned by “Punch A Nazi” entitlement as anything.

(And if it was? Watch this be the least-publicized spree killing in history. Or watch for the Big Left to blame “Punch A Nazi” on Trump)

  1. No need to fret Loren. Americans have accepted gun violence as the price for the 2nd amendment.

  2. Emery is just channeling Hillary, Blumenthal, Warren and the rest of the opportunist political hacks……….SHAME EMERY, SHAME!!

  3. emery puked: “The NRA has claimed Obama had confiscated all our firearms.”

    Where and when?
I say unequivocally that you are lying!
    Again!

  4. This incident must be the “American carnage” that Trump often refers to.

SH: I am a strong supporter of the 2A. But these things happen with liberal gun rights. There have been numerous incidents over the recent past. And not one of them has sparked the kind of outrage that would result in reversing 2A gun rights .

So in fact: Americans are prepared to live with this type of “carnage” to preserve the rights that are implicit in the 2A.

  5. emery puked: “The NRA has claimed Obama had confiscated all our firearms.”

That, and please site where more strict gun laws result in less crime. Chicago? NOW! Else, you prove to everyone once again you are a walking, talking, non-thinking libturd troll. A morally corrupt, intellectually dishonest zombie. Nothing else, nothing more.

  6. Of course, in Europe where all firearms are banned they never have folks running around shooting other people with firearms. Sorry, but nutters gonna be nutters.

Speaking of nutters, old white guy doesn’t fit any common narrative. Guy getting a divorce, on the other hand…

Put up or shut up pissant!

  8. Emery wrote:

    Really? When? Where?
The people who seems to think that they know the most about what “the NRA” has claimed are usually the people most ignorant about what the “the NRA” has claimed.

  9. Emery, can we please wait until a bit of investigation is done, and we can tell what guns they were, whether he had the requisite permits to have them in full auto, and the like?

Reality is, though, that since our southern border is unsecured, anyone who really wants to get guns in full auto merely needs to get a representative at a third world arms bazaar and to get them shipped north with the next bale of dope. If we’re going to talk about sources of illegal guns, Emery, let’s talk.

  10. I’m hearing that the lines to give blood in LV are enormous…something to feel good about in this time of tragedy.

  11. Terror attacks such as these are not a good argument for gun control. A terrorist who has the ability to plan and execute this sort of well-thought-out attack on a soft target is likely to be able to get a weapon. No, the reason to have gun control is to lessen the shooting deaths in high crime districts in the nation’s cities, where a national handgun ban would do a lot of good. Getting caught by a stray bullet in those districts is a very real risk. Getting caught in a random terror attack remains, and is likely to remain, highly unlikely, unlikely enough to make the risk worth ignoring. This attack will not bring on more national gun regulations, nor should it. The rising murder rates in south Chicago are a much better reason.

  12. “The rising murder rates in south Chicago are a much better reason” to crack down on gang violence and violations of the current gun laws. FTFY there, Em, as I can just tell that you forgot to finish the thought.

As much as you’d like to take the blindered approach that gun violence is some broad based issue, anyone with a little bit of knowledge and sense knows that Chicago’s problem isn’t guns. If it were, the burbs would be just as bad as the South Side and it would be a problem across all races and classes.

You want to fix Chicago and guns? Attack the gangs and criminality in general that exist in those neighborhoods. That might mean jailing and then deporting a fair number of people, and it would mean massively increased incarceration for various PoC, too. But it would also massively improve the quality of life for those left behind. Give the decent folks hope and an environment where folks feel somewhat safe taking a chance with a business and you might be able to revitalize the area. It’s risky enough starting a business without having to add to those risks by opening in the blighted areas of Chicago.

  13. No, the reason to have gun control is to lessen the shooting deaths in high crime districts in the nation’s cities, where a national handgun ban would do a lot of good.

Are those the cities where the criminals are first obtaining their firearms through legal means before committing their crimes?

I’m confused. You acknowledge the problems is compartmentalized to high-crime urban environments, yet seek to punish the entire nation?

  14. Emery

Where and when did the NRA claim Obama had confiscated all our firearms”.?

hey wanker, give us the cite for that assertion!

  15. emery
when and in what official NRA publication did the NRA claim that Obama had confiscated all our firearms?

  16. emery

don’t be such an insufferable tosser, answer the question.

when and in what official NRA publication did the NRA claim that Obama had confiscated all our firearms?

or is this just part of your Jack Dawkins act? being an intellectual pickpocket you lifted the line from someone else and don’t personally know what it means when you say “The NRA has claimed Obama had confiscated all our firearms.”

  17. Handgun ban? Why are we talking about a handgun ban? The killer used long guns.

  18. Another way to look at this is that Obama, Holder, and Lynch pushed the constitution and congress as hard as they could in restricting Americans’ access to the type of firearms used in this massacre.
    It didn’t stop Paddock.
The NRA is far more of a grass-roots organization than most of those on the left that claim to represent “the People.”
The NRA has been named as a villain by the same class of idiots who were wrong on everything from the viability of communism as a governing philosophy to the election of Trump. Smart people ignore the bleating of those pseudo-intellectuals.

  19. Americans have accepted gun violence as the price for the 2nd amendment

    False.

We have learned that violence is the price of Democrat social policy.

So far it seems that the Vegas shooter was merely insane.

  20. One thing that strikes me is that it’s 51 years since the Texas clock tower massacre, and we still don’t have a good way to respond to a single shooter in a fairly “safe” position shooting from an odd angle. For that matter, I would imagine the fences in a typical music festival would prevent people from escaping–not a good situation at all. To have prevented this, you’d have to have guards more or less swarming several resort hotels–Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Tropicana, etc..

The authorities hesitated, I understand, to call it terrorism.

Still waiting, you lying snowflake. Provide a site for your NRA quote. Pooping lies makes you a worthless troll. C’mon, prove us otherwise. Please? See I can be nice. As a matter of fact, I will go out on a limb to say that you will provide a site in your next post. It is very simple if what you said is factual and not a bold faced lie. And if you won’t, it will mean you can’t and it will be definitive proof you are indeed a bold faced liar. So, c’mon, what do you say, eTASS? For once, prove you are not a lair. We are all waiting.

  22. As these things get sorted out, there are always the stories of people that either were contributing to society, or held great potential to do so that were taken out.

And yet, utterly worthless, steaming sacks of liquid shit like Emery always seem to evade the slaughter. They’re like cockroaches; surviving by hiding in dark, warm, moist crevices…scuttling away from danger.

    Sad.

  23. Emery asserts: “Americans have accepted gun violence as the price for the 2nd amendment.” That’s a bit broad, not all Americans think alike. Let’s see if we can refine it.

Leftist Americans want to ban private ownership of firearms by middle class and poor people. The ban wouldn’t apply to the military or to people whose lives are worth protecting (the rich and famous – their bodyguards would continue to be armed). And, of course, politicians, because some animals are more equal than others; ordinary rules don’t apply to them. Leftist Americans haven’t accepted gun violence as the price of the Second Amendment because they don’t believe the Second Amendment protects an individual fundamental right. They’ve only accepted gun violence as a temporary condition until they can banish guns at which time all violence will disappear.

Jurist Americans on the Supreme Court ruled that crazy people couldn’t be locked up unless they were an imminent threat on the day of the hearing. What usually happens is the nut gets hauled in over the weekend so by the time of the hearing, the legal aid lawyer has him back on his meds, cleaned up, wearing a suit, and mouthing all the right platitudes. Can’t hold a guy for that. The minute he’s back on the street, the meds go in the gutter and we start the cycle over. Those jurists have forced all Americans to live with violence as the price of protecting everyone’s civil rights, not specifically the Second Amendment.

Black Lives Matter Americans want police to leave young Black men alone, to stop hassling them and arresting them. They also want the police to protect Black neighborhoods from violence and they want the police department disbanded. And a pony. For free. There’s no way to reconcile their contradictory demands. They have no regard for the enumerated powers theory of constitutional government and therefore no idea what the Second Amendment is about.

Conservative Americans hate gun violence and would love to see guns taken away from those who shouldn’t have them, but they’re stymied by Jurist Americans and Black Lives Matter Americans and frustrated by Leftist Americans constantly attacking the one group that owns and uses guns responsibly. To the extent anybody accepts gun violence as the price of freedom it’s this group, but reluctantly and despairingly, as the lesser of two evils.

  24. You know what you will never hear from a leftist reprobate after a mass shooting? A simple question; why are people going nuts?

We’ve had guns in America since the founding; and plenty of em. What we have not had are people that hate other people so much they can’t stop themselves from killing as many as possible.

Personally, I think that when we live in a country where soulless, sub-human women film themselves comitting infanticide an post it on YouTube, where children are delivered into the arms of sexual deviants, where mentally ill people are celebtated for their genitals mutilated, where fully 1/2 of our kids grow up in single parent homes, where 80% are dropped off with strangers so their mothers can persue their careers…well, is any of this any surprise?

There’s a reason leftist reprobates dont want to discuss any of this….it is all unfolding according to plan.

  25. And yet, you continue to contaminate the atmosphere. Life ain’t fair, Dunning_Kruger.

  26. Bold faced liar it is. eTASS-BFL: emeryTheAntiSemiticSoci@list-BoldFacedLiar. Describes you to tee. You must be so proud, snowflake.

  27. <I<October 2, 2017, 3:59 PM
LAPD clarifies it cannot confirm Tom Petty's death

Wow. Just wow. Even here eTASS-BFL cannot get it right.

  28. “No, the reason to have gun control is to lessen the shooting deaths in high crime districts in the nation’s cities, where a national handgun ban would do a lot of good.”

This obviously only works in NYC for a bunch of reasons that can’t be duplicated anywhere else.

  29. My my my… TMZ is now the definitive source and not LAPD. You are insufferable.

  30. LAPD response was to a tmz story. You are so dense. What a maroon. Keep digging snowflake.

  31. When it comes to any news about celebrities, especially deaths, TMZ is one of the earliest breaking and most reliable sources out there. They probably have 24/7 stakeouts at all the major hospitals in LA to try and catch a glimpse of a celebrity coming in. A lot of “real”(er) news sources pull from TMZ.

  32. Jpa: 😴

BC: I suspect Tom Petty’s music provided a soundtrack for many of us in our youth.

Liberals like Hughley forget that America will get more gun control when Americans reach a consensus that more is needed. American democracy makes it difficult for the majority to use the power of the state to crush a minority. That’s how the system is supposed to work. If he wants to live where the state has the power to crush minorities, he should move to Russia.

  33. So not being able to confront his lying, eTASA-BFL pulls out a thread which have not been confirmed by authorities. That is what this is about. Did you not start trolling on another thread already, snowflake? Have more lies you need to spread? Move along little doggie to your next shit pile. You begin to stink here.

  34. Man, two thread-jacks for one single post; refusal to backup a wild-ass assertion; misuse of the term “snowflake”; and finally, a leap of illogic that connects the shootings in Chicago with (ever more) strict gun control.

Emery is on fire. I hope Soros notices.

  35. Bill, this post is about berg’s 18th law (it is in the title). Do you you not see the irony that eTASS-BFL posts an officially unconfirmed assertion on this very thread as absolute truth within 48 seconds, not even 48 minutes? (exaggeration is for effect for the dense people in the audience).

I have not checked the absolute latest, but hope TMZ was wrong, although chances are slim as you pointed out.

  36. Jpa wrote: “So not being able to confront his lying, eTASA-BFL pulls out a thread [Petty] which have not been confirmed by authorities.”

I love you man, you’re the best!

  37. The first time I heard “Even the Losers” I was, in fact, sitting on a roof and staring at the moon. Didn’t have a girl with me, though.

  38. Hillary today, showing why she is an ignoramus who would have made a terrible president:
She also slammed President Trump for rolling back Obama-era regulations, such as rules that stipulated when mental health records and blindness could prevent gun sales, as being “beyond absurd, this is evil.”

“We’ve got to do a better job of getting prepared to defend these positions and to recognize that 90% of Americans agree with us, and a very overwhelming super-majority of gun owners agree with us,” Clinton said.

Labeling your political opponents’ policies as evil is incredibly devisive. If “90% of Americans agree with [Democrats], and a very overwhelming super-majority of gun owners agree with us”, The GOP would adopt pro-gun control policies so fast it would make your head spin.

  39. I haven’t seen any evidence of previous mental health problems. Obviously somebody who shoots up a crowd has issues, but most mental health problems are not diagnosed, and most people with common mental health problems remain free to act as citizens. You can’t discriminate against people because their father was a criminal or had mental health issues.
