According to the media (and rapper Kanye West) the President hates poor people, and wants them dead - which is why relief was so slow coming to New Orleans.

Not, naturally, because Ray Nagin and Kathleen Blanco screwed up evacuating the city.

For those who weren't paying attention, or were getting the story from Atrios (pardon the redundancy), FactCheck.org goes over the "scandal", as does Matt Continetti, while Tim Graham pretty well hammers the media's flightiness on the facts when it comes to this general thread. As to O'Donnell - let's just say that he's kind of a strange fellow in his own right.

I guess the storyline that Bush/Rove were running a gay sex club out of the White House never bore fruit. So to speak.

In February, the left was all atwitter at the notion that Jeff Gannon/Jamie Guckert, alleged internet gay prostitute, was intimately connected with someone in the White House. Voices on the left, oblivious to the irony, claimed that the alleged liasons were a national security risk.

Sunni Boycott Will Invalidate Election!

Six months later, of course, the boycott was a shambles, with Sunni clerics issuing a fatwa requiring participation in the democratic process.

It Was A Plastic Turkey!

The left stuffed themselves, rhetorically, to the point where they spent the rest of 2003 lying on the metaphorical couch with their rhetorical zippers open with the rumor that the President, on a surprise Thanksgiving visit to Baghdad, had been photographed carrying a plastic turkey among the GIs.

Of course, it was a lie; the turkey was the "Show Turkey", a perfect-looking real bird used more as a centerpiece than as an entree. It's not an uncommon practice at big institutional meals (and what is an Army mess but the biggest, institutionalest meal of all?).

To put it in Democrat terms - Not Fake, but Accurate.
